Welcome to episode 14 of the From Grief to Gold Podcast!
Today I wanted to talk about money mindsets, letting go of the outcome, and not beating ourselves up so much when things don’t go as planned. Learning to trust the process even amidst the storm. I share about my expectations when I moved to Chattanooga this year and the reality of where I am five months later. In more student loan debt, and still choosing to focus on the positive.
The struggles of not getting hired after almost a decade of entrepreneurial life and finally deciding to bet on myself instead. Trusting there is a reason for why doors didn’t open. Balancing working as a single parent and the only caregiver of my child. Learning to not take things so personally. Seeing what I can learn from these different experiences, and having faith that it will all work out. Even if you have to bawl in the bathroom from time to time.
I finally chose to focus on what I can control instead of what’s out of my control. Because no amount of stressing will fix the problem. And remembering the bigger focus.
